Kari is a benevolent person, who has founded a Not-for-Profit called Circle of Love Collections. Laura Desbiens is an Executive Accountant Assistant, a Zumba Instructor, was a Dental Technician for 14 years, and is an entrepreneur. She has been focused on supporting the accounting profession since 2021. In her role as the Executive Accounting Assistant at K Liu Accounting Services, she is responsible for client communications, scheduling appointments, social media, and marketing, performs monthly bookkeeping for business clients and is a main support for senior staff during tax filing season.
She has a wide range of talents that she brings to the table. She is punctual, hard working, has strong computer skills, has well-developed interpersonal skills, is persistent, has great organizational skills and a warm and friendly personality. Learning is important to her and so between 2019 and 2022, she has taken several courses and acquired numerous certifications, which include: Intuit QuickBooks Online Certification, Intuit QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification, Intuit QuickBooks Connect Virtual Canada, Knowledge Bureau – Professional Income Tax Course – Entry Level, Knowledge Bureau – Professional Income Tax Course – Advanced Level, and Knowledge Bureau – Bookkeeping in a Digital World. Her dedication to Lifelong Learning has increased her role and responsibilities as more than just a support person, but to the role of an accounting specialist.
As an entrepreneur, Laura became a co-owner of Zinfinity Fitness in July of 2018. In this role, she provided fitness classes at a variety of locations, using various formats of Zumba.
Laura is also a philanthropist. In September of 2022, she organized a group of students and prepared a routine to be performed at Manitoba’s 2022 Nuit Blanche Installation “Illumiskate the Night”. She also co-hosted an Yvonne’s Fitness Zumba Fundraising Event in December of 2022, that raised $1200 and donated the money to Peer Connections Manitoba. She participated in a Zumba fundraiser in August of 2018, that raised funds for the Run for the Cure 2018. In June of 2017, she organized and hosted a Zumba Fundraiser, with the proceeds being donated to Winnipeg Humane Society.
